Locking lever for body door

 

This item was also created in response to a customer order and uses the same locking mechanism as the replacement handle for the inside of the body door.
Unfortunately, this also illustrates that the entire mechanism of the body door locking mechanism is not well thought out and that the materials/plastics used are not up to the task.
This is made all the worse by the fact that the manufacturer, Horustech, does not offer any spare parts or alternatives.
The lever is manufactured by a metalworker from stainless steel using a laser sintering process as an external service, and we actually only forward orders to the metalworker with the lever we have modelled. Our own prototypes made of various reinforced plastics (glass fibre and carbon reinforced) broke under load after a very short time.

As an ‘all-round carefree package’, we offer the body door repair kit in our shop, consisting of the stainless steel lever and either a grey ASA handle with stainless steel insert or a full stainless steel handle.
